COSS has been reaching out for grants to help provide free, outdoor, family-friendly events in Chelmsford, and we just heard back. They have been approved.
Here is what was funded for 2026:
• Music at the Farm at Sunny Meadow Farm (expanded from 4 in 2025)
Six free outdoor concerts

• Kids Craft Day at Sunny Meadow Farm (New for 2026)

The next step is locking down exact locations and dates. The locations listed above are reference sites, and if we run into any conflicts, we will shift these events to other appropriate sites around town.
That is a total of 8 free public events planned so far for 2026, and that does not include the Day Before Thanksgiving walk, the Scarecrow Festival, or additional pop-up events and guided walks that often come together during the year.
Huge thank you to the Chelmsford Cultural Council for supporting community, culture, and access to the outdoors. This kind of funding makes it possible to keep events free and open to everyone.
