Whatever is decided for the Koulas Farm entrance garden, the Town will be the one to decide, as it should be.
There are volunteers ready to help when the time comes. The more I look at native plantings, the more I like the look, and they are better for bees and other pollinators. Keeping the current daffodils also honors the history of the site. A mix of the two could be a nice way to blend past and future, if that is the direction the Town chooses.
For this weekend, though, the focus is clear.
This weekend is about removing bittersweet.
Everyone agrees that needs to be done. The invasive vine is covering the area, and clearing it by hand is the necessary first step before any future planting or restoration can even be considered.
